My Clique
i also decided to make my own clique, and here's why. i've known html for a coupla years now,
and all of it i taught myself, with lots and lots of practice and f-ups. i've always aimed more
for content than quality of a site, but now there are people that think, it doesn't matter how
much of something you have on your site, it MUST be compact and simple, and the layout MUST be
done by you, or else people get really mad and your site gets on tons of "i hate this site becoz
they steal other people's work and their site looks like crap so i'll just make a site of my own
to show everyone that" pages. well i say, enuf is enuf! when did making your site look pretty have
anything to do with getting information from it? i mean sure, i can understand if you made your
site for the sole purpose of letting it sit there and collect magical cute dust, but most sites
gather information, not oohs and ahhs. and more power to ya if you know all this fancy html and
you can make your site look damn good, but i for one, am not going to stay at your site if it has
one word on it, simply becoz it's so bee-you-tee-ful i cannot take my eyes off of it. that said,
i made a clique for people that don't give a damn how their site looks, they're just there for
what they've got to offer. so you are guaranteed to spend TONS of time with this clique.
THAT'S the beauty of it.
rules
1) UGLY IS NOT THE SAME AS DISORGANIZED.
if your links are broken, and i can't read any of your writing, you don't get in.
2) YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW ANY HTML WHATSOEVER!
i don't care if you made your page from templates or notepad, or if you don't even know what an html "tag" is, as long as your site looks "presentable", and there are slim to none broken links, it's good enuf for me.
3) PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOU JOINED
you need to take the resposibility in here. all you have to do is email me after it's on your site, and let me know you put it there. a link to your site would be appreciated as well. i will then put your name on the members list.
4) BE PROUD
be proud that you didn't spend 5 days sitting up drinking pepsi and popping pills so you could write the code for the perfect site, and YOU STILL GOT INTO A CLIQUE! show your clique with pride! i spent lots and lots of time making those little links, and if i find them in the back corner of your site, sitting lonely and forgotten, i'm taking your name off the list.

all you have to do is save the picture of your choice to your computer, and then upload it to the servers on your site. if you need help, email me. it's not that hard. after it's on your site, drop me an email and let me know so i can make sure your site is ugly enough. yes, there is some type of judging involved in this clique! if i find out you spent at least one night sleepless writing code for your site, your name is going off the list. you have spent way too much time on your site.
